Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 258,914. That’s 4,339 more cases since yesterday. 241,348 are confirmed; 17,566 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 32 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,684 deaths. 6,393 are confirmed; 291 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 12/7/20 is 217,930, which is 15,039 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,244 cases. There are 4,698 confirmed and 546 probable. That’s 91 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 144 deaths; 138 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 8.60%, up 7.50% from the week prior, which was 8.00%.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 4,929 cases. There are 4,609 confirmed and 320 probable. That’s 23 more cases since Sunday. They are reporting 140 deaths; 135 are confirmed and 5 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 7.40%, down 5.10% from the week prior, which was 7.80%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.

 

Statewide, there are 1,537 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 177 are on ventilators. That’s 21 more patients since yesterday, and 12 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 3,801,983, which is 41,054 more tests than yesterday. There are 3,662,342 molecular tests and 139,641 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 69,075 tests in Lafourche (65,349 molecular and 3,726 antigen) and 66,401 tests in Terrebonne (64,055 molecular and 2,346 antigen). That’s 763 more tests in Lafourche and 406 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
