Houma native Chad Doxey was honored with Acadian Air Med’s President’s Performance Award this week — one of the company’s highest honors.

Doxey is a flight paramedic on Air Med 2. He’s been with Acadian for almost 23 years.

Acadian Air Med said he won the award because of his go-getter attitude. He’s always willing to complete tasks or assignments — while working with a smile.

Acadian gives out its President’s Performance Award as a way to recognize those employees who epitomize “The Acadian Way.” It’s given to employees who have made a commitment to excellence, showcasing to patients and customers the Acadian goal, which is to provide quality and superior service.

Doxey is married to wife Sydney. Together, they have a son, Breyden. Chad also has a son, Bryce, who is a United States Marine, and a daughter, Shelby Mae, who is attending Nicholls.
