Entergy Corp. is investing $3.2 million to fund this year’s Entergy Charitable Foundation grant programs.

The foundation is trimming its grant cycles to two. Grant application deadlines are Feb. 1 and Aug. 1.

The foundation is dedicated to strengthen communities served by Entergy through investments in education, poverty solutions and environmental programs. Almost 3,000 nonprofit organizations have benefited from the programs.

“Giving back to the community is an integral part of Entergy’s corporate and our Louisiana utilities’ mission,” said Phillip R. May, president and chief executive officer of Entergy Gulf States Louisiana and Entergy Louisiana. “We encourage organizations to submit projects for consideration in February and August. Together, our efforts will boost local economies and benefit all our stakeholders.”
