A Houma native was given a promotion by Danos this week – a new job which will give her great responsibilities in the Lone Star State.

Danos announced on social media this week that Houma native Melanie Toups was promoted to Sales Operation Analyst.

Toups, a graduate of Nicholls State University, has more than 15 years experience in information systems and more than seven years of experience in oil and gas industry sales.

In her new position, Toups will take over Danos’ Houston office management and will work directly with the assigned account sales and business development teams to improve the company’s productivity, while helping support opportunities to enhance overall customer engagement on a national scale.

According to a news release issued by Danos, Toups will “fit in well” working with Houston sales personnel to leverage her international experience of training engineers on a Customer Relationship Management system operating within a global ERP system.

Toups has been working with Danos since 2012.

In 2014, she became a sales analyst within the company.

In Sept. 2016, the company said she acquired key sales management functions and is responsible for supporting the execution and deployment of sales management initiatives while being a contributing member to Danos’ sales productivity strategy.
