LOGA has made its endorsement in the governor’s race.

The well-known oil and gas group said today in a news release that it endorses Ralph Abraham to be the next governor of Louisiana.

Abraham is one of three men in the race, joining incumbent John Bel Edwards and fellow challenger Eddie Rispone.

LOGA Executive Director Gifford Briggs said this is a critical time in the state’s history and it believes Abraham is the man to lead Louisiana forward.

“The Louisiana Oil and Gas Political Action Committee is pleased to endorse Congressman Ralph Abraham in the race for governor,” said Gifford Briggs, Executive Director of LOGPAC. “From lawsuits, to taxes and regulations, the energy industry is facing serious challenges that must be immediately addressed to bring jobs, investments and opportunities back to Louisiana. Far too many of our workers and families have been hurting for far too long. We believe Congressman Abraham understands these challenges and will provide the strong leadership that’s necessary to revitalize Louisiana’s energy industry.”

Abraham said he’s grateful to hold the endorsement, adding that he plans to fix the state’s economy, if elected.

“I’m honored to have the support of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association,” Abraham said. “John Bel Edwards’ war on this vital industry has decimated Louisiana. I will bring that war to an end and bring these jobs back home.”
