A Louisiana man has been arrested in connection with the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana announced.

Fifty-year-old Vaughn Gordon, of Lafayette, faces two charges: one count of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and one count of parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol buildings, according to reports.

According to the Advocate, Gordon said he roamed the U.S. Capitol for a couple of hours and shared selfies of himself inside the rotunda. He also called the event a riot but said he was peaceful and did not vandalize anything inside the building, according to the Advocate.

More than 170 case files have been opened and 70 people have been charged in connection to the incident, acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin recently told reporters.
