Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 374,582. That’s 2,536 more cases since yesterday. 330,294 are confirmed; 44,288 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 59 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,383 deaths. 7,881 are confirmed; 502 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/18/21 is 320,025, which is 21,411 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,570 cases. There are 6,078 confirmed and 1,492 probable. That’s 90 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 172 deaths; 163 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 7-Jan. 13 is 9.80%, down 17.65% from the week prior, which was 11.90%. Incidence is 390.36.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 7,755 cases. There are 6,468 confirmed and 1,287 probable. That’s 117 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 163 deaths; 154 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.7-Jan. 13 is 11.70%, down 18.18% from the week prior, which was 14.30%. Incidence is 401.73.

 

Statewide, there are 1,858 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 243 are on ventilators. That’s 47 less patients since yesterday, and 6 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 4,968,246, which is 37,430 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,661,193 molecular tests and 307,053 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 90,185 tests in Lafourche (81,222 molecular and 8,963 antigen) and 87,990 tests in Terrebonne (81,456 molecular and 6,534 antigen). That’s 485 more tests in Lafourche and 583 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
