Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 355,835. That’s 2,902 more cases since yesterday. 317,336 are confirmed; 38,499 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 51 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,022 deaths. 7,582 are confirmed; 440 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/11/21 is 298,614, which is 18,241 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,162 cases. There are 5,821 confirmed and 1,341 probable. That’s 75 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 166 deaths; 158 are confirmed and 8 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6 is 11.80%, up 9.26% from the week prior, which was 10.80%. Incidence is 540.18.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 7,342 cases. There are 6,230 confirmed and 1,112 probable. That’s 128 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 158 deaths; 149 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6 is 14.30%, down 10.63% from the week prior, which was 16.00%. Incidence is 528.73.

 

Statewide, there are 2,029 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 235 are on ventilators. That’s 6 less patients since yesterday, and 9 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 4,757,084, which is 25,787 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,489,359 molecular tests and 267,725 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 86,530 tests in Lafourche (78,528 molecular and 8,002 antigen) and 84,282 tests in Terrebonne (78,523 molecular and 5,759 antigen). That’s 589 more tests in Lafourche and 727 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
