Veterans Day is Friday, November 11, and Lafourche Parish Public Library is gearing up for a week-long celebration honoring the men and women who have fought for our country, and our freedom. LPPL announced it will host Veterans Day events at its Thibodaux, Lockport, Choctaw, and Raceland Branches. LPPL will honor veterans and their families at the following events:
- Veterans Day Breakfast at the Thibodaux Library– Breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, by Gina’s Catering. The breakfast is sponsored by the Thibodaux Friends of the Library. Door prizes, generously donated by local businesses, will be given.
- Veterans Day Event at the Lockport Library- The event will take place on Thursday, November 10, at 4:30 p.m. featuring food, photos, and a story time from veterans. The event is sponsored by the Lockport Friends of the Library.
- Veterans Day Celebration at Choctaw Library- The celebration will be held on Monday, November 7, at 10 a.m. Veterans will enjoy donuts and a veterans photo display, honoring locals who have served.
- Veterans Day Social at Raceland Library- Honoring the service and sacrifices made by our armed forces, guests will enjoy refreshments, story time and a veteran display on Thursday, November 10, at 3 p.m.
