The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found yesterday in Bayou Lafourche.

It belonged to Kelvin Johnson, 30, of Napoleonville. The body was recovered from the bayou near Tiger Drive yesterday in Thibodaux.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday morning and results are pending.

Foul play is not suspected in Johnson’s death, based on preliminary findings and evidence, but LPSO will continue to investigate with assistance from the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
