If you’re looking to spend some time outside and have some fun this weekend in Houma, grab your lawn chairs and help light up downtown at Luminate Houma. The concert will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 5 p.m., at Lumiere Blues & Jazz Bistro, located at 7913 W Main Street.

Hosted by Spilt Liquor Productions, guests will enjoy a candle-lit atmosphere and a night of music, food, and fun, with live entertainment from local artists and bands, including singer and songwriter, Taylor Nauta. Lumiere Blues and Jazz Bistro and Bayou Terrebonne Distillers will be serving delicious cocktails and beer.

In addition to the concert, the event will  feature an art showcasing for local artists, hosted by the Bayou Region Arts Council and a basket weaving demonstration by United Houma Nation’s own, Jamie Luster.

“We are trying to provide an open space for people to enjoy music, learn some culture, and just enjoy the atmosphere downtown,” said Daniel Babin, Owner/Operator of Jam Up Marketing.

The concert is free to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs to sit down, relax, and enjoy the show.
