Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Centers invites you to the Drive-thru Tree for Life ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, in Houma.
In partnership with Terrebonne General Health System, The Cancer Center provides a full spectrum of cancer care, from prevention and early detection to diagnosis, treatment, recovery and survivorship for those in the Bayou Region.
The event unites cancer survivors, families, and caregivers for a special evening to remember and honor those who have been affected by cancer. With a gift of $25 or more, supporters may purchase an ornament as a tribute to a loved one. If you plan to be present to hang your ornament on the tree, please arrive at the Terrebonne General Health System Drive-Thru center, located at 8200 Main Street, between 5:30-5:45 p.m. From that area, team members will distribute ornaments and direct cars to line up for the ceremony.
In addition, the Tree of Life ceremony will be virtually broadcast from the Cancer Centers facebook page. Simply tune in to facebook.com/mbpcchouma at 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 1 to see your customized ornament placed on the holiday tree to honor your loved one. The tree will be on display in the Cancer Center throughout the holiday season. Tribute ornaments may be purchased at marybird.org/treeforlife.
All proceeds will support life-changing cancer services, such as nutritional support and patient navigation. Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center thanks supporters for their hand in delivering the centers’ mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer this holiday season.
