Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 385,942. That’s 2,075 more cases since yesterday. 339,207 are confirmed; 46,735 are probable.


 

Due to planned maintenance, case and test counts on 1/24/2021 were one-day totals. Counts on 1/25/2021 will be two-day totals.

 

The state is reporting 25 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,590 deaths. 8,064 are confirmed; 526 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/18/21 is 320,025, which is 21,411 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,848 cases. There are 6,261 confirmed and 1,587 probable. That’s 54 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 173 deaths; 165 are confirmed and 8 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 7-Jan. 13 is 9.80%, down 17.65% from the week prior, which was 11.90%. Incidence is 390.36.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 8,187 cases. There are 6,778 confirmed and 1,409 probable. That’s 75 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 167 deaths; 156 are confirmed and 11 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.7-Jan. 13 is 11.70%, down 18.18% from the week prior, which was 14.30%. Incidence is 401.73.

 

Statewide, there are 1,638 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 219 are on ventilators. That’s 3 less patients since yesterday, and 4 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 5,123,581, which is 28,277 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,795,921 molecular tests and 327,660 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 93,448 tests in Lafourche (83,656 molecular and 9,792 antigen) and 91,900 tests in Terrebonne (84,705 molecular and 7,195 antigen). That’s 938 more tests in Lafourche and 1,086 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
