More than 7,000 people have already voted in the upcoming election.

Early voting numbers continue to show that more people are voting before the primary date that ever before – at historic numbers.

As of October 1, 164,834 people have early voted, a number which represents about 3 percent of Louisiana’s population.


Locally, more than 7,000 people have voted early. In Lafourche, 3,963 people have cast their ballots already, while 3,215 have cast their ballots in Terrebonne.
