A scholarship opportunity is available to students at Nicholls State University for the 2022-2023 school year. The University is accepting applications for the Gordon “Bubba” Dove, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, created to honor the life of the avid fisherman.
The five thousand dollar scholarship will be awarded to one full time enrolled student at Nicholls State University who has maintained a 2.5 grade point average or above. The awarded recipient will receive $2500 per semester. In order to qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a resident of Lafourche, Terrebonne, or Assumption Parish.
- Must be enrolled in the Petroleum Engineering Technology and Safety Management Program, the Maritime Management program, or any program in the College of Business.
- Must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
- Must demonstrate community service involvement.
Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member of Nicholls State University the stipulated program, as well as an update co-curricular form.
