Nicholls State University Athletics will host a Seafood Extravaganza at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 in the Cotillion Ballroom at the Donald G. Bollinger Memorial Student Union.

Guests will dine on all-you-can-eat, delicious seafood, including crawfish, shrimp, crabs and more. The seafood is sponsored by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board.

Neal Swanner will be honored posthumously with the 2022 Hall of Distinction Award. Hall of Distinction candidates, who need not have attended or graduated from Nicholls, must have distinguished themselves in service and leadership by playing an active role in supporting Colonel Athletics. Swanner is the former owner of Bubba’s II Po Boys and was a prominent supporter of Nicholls Athletics through the years helping to provide upgraded facilities for softball, baseball, and football and endowed over 30 scholarships for students.

In between platters, there will be a live and silent auction featuring unique items including Nicholls sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind athletics experiences with Nicholls coaches. Proceeds go toward scholarships for student-athletes.

Ticket options range from a single ticket for $150 with an individual VIP hour add-on for an extra $50.
