Ochsner Health announced Juan C. Sarmiento, MD, a board-certified Endocrinologist joined the medical staff at Ochsner St. Anne and Ochsner St. Mary.
Dr. Sarmiento earned his medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga-Facultad de Medicina, School of Medicine in Bucaramanga, Colombia where he was class Valedictorian and graduated Cum Laude.
He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Norwalk Hospital affiliated with Yale School of Medicine Norwalk, CT. He did an Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.
As an Endocrinologist, Dr. Sarmiento provides treatment for a variety of conditions such as diabetes, thyroid diseases, infertility, growth issues, metabolic disorders, osteoporosis and disorders in the hormone-producing adrenal glands and pituitary gland just to name a few.
Dr. Sarmiento is looking forward to working with the medical staff at Ochsner St. Anne and Ochsner St. Mary to provide care to the people in this community and is now accepting new patients. His office is located at Ochsner Specialty Health Center-Raceland, 141 Twin Oaks, Raceland and Ochsner Specialty Health Center-Morgan City, 1302 Lakewood Dr., Morgan City.
