The Bubba Dove Floodgate was opened during Hurricane Barry.

Today, the Port of Terrebonne announced that Houma and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway are both accessible again from the Gulf of Mexico.

The Captain of the Port set Port Condition Normal for the Houma Navigational Canal, with restriction.

Due to an inoperable range light, transit within the Houma Navigational Canal can only occur during daylight hours

A MSIB will be issued once repairs are made and the light is operable that will establish the waterway as open without restriction. Mariners are also advised to be cautious of debris that has collected in the vicinity of the Houma Navigational Canal floodgate.
