The Board of Directors of the Regional Military Museum is excited to announce the ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony of the Atrium Gallery, honoring Founder and President Emeritus,  Mr. C. J. Christ. The dedication ceremony will be held tomorrow, Saturday, January 8, at 1 p.m.

The program will begin with an informal meet and mingle at 1 p.m., followed by seating at 1:20 p.m., and the  Master of Ceremony will kick things off at 1:25 p.m. The dedication ceremony will feature notable guest speakers including, Major General (Ret.) Hunt Downer as the Master of Ceremony, Father Daniel Duplantis, Associate Pastor at the Cathedral of St. Francis DeSales, will deliver the Invocation, and Mart Black, Regional Military Museum Board President, will present the President’s Address. Following the dedication program, celebrants will enjoy complimentary cake and champagne from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.


Will Theriot, Vice President of The Regional Military Museum said the Atrium Gallery and honoring of the Korean War Veteran is well deserved. “As Vice President, I’m very happy to say that Mr. C.J. is being recognized after many years of service, I’m really happy,” Theriot added.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public and will be held at the Regional Military Museum, located at 1154 Barrow St., Houma.
