Due to rising water caused by Hurricane Laura, LA Highway 1 is now CLOSED south of the Leon Theriot Lock in Golden Meadow.
A *MANDATORY EVACUATION* remains in effect for this area, south of the Leon Theriot Lock, including Port Fourchon.
