Rumor Control: New TPSD survey has NO connection to closing schools

Parents of students in the Terrebonne Parish School District received a survey to assess how many households have internet access, allowing for the rumor mill to start churning.

However, the survey has no connection to moving schools to virtual, Superintendent Philip Martin said.

TPSD also released a statement saying there are no plans for schools to go virtual after the Christmas break.

The district has to submit a technology data assessment to the state biannually, he said.
