Scalise Receives Ellis Island Medal of Honor for Significant Contributions to American Society

House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.)  received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor from the Ellis Island Honors Society (EIHS) for providing significant philanthropic and humanitarian contributions to the United States. Recipients are chosen based on their visionary leadership, passion for upholding American ideals, and working to ensure all U.S. citizens have opportunities to succeed. The Ellis Island Medal of Honor ranks among the nation’s most renowned awards.

“I’m humbled to be recognized as an Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient. Many past award winners are prominent American figures with extraordinary accomplishments, and I’m honored to join their ranks.
