In preparation for President Biden signing an Executive Order today which will likely include a moratorium on oil and gas leases, executive members of the South Central Industrial Association have sent a letter to the Louisiana delegation voicing concerns on the threats a moratorium could pose to our state. In another proactive move, the oil and gas group shared that meetings have been set with Congressman Garrett Graves and with our partners at CPRA, as well as with other vital leaders in Louisiana in their respective sectors, to discuss the potential impacts and how SCIA plans advocate for their members.

“We are proud to be the active voice for our regional industry, and we are committed to supporting our membership,” stated Christy Alley Zerinque, SCIA Executive Director.
