February 10, 2011The St. Mary Communication Action Center is offering low-income households free help with filing 2010 taxes.
CEO Almetra Franklin said the program is part of their mission, “People helping people to make a difference in the lives of hard-working people.”
Prospective taxpayers must call Linda Moreaux at (337) 828-5703 to schedule an appointment.
The tax-help sites are the St. Mary Neighborhood Service Center, 330 Cardinal St., Morgan City; the St. Mary Neighborhood Service Center, 203 Martin Luther King Blvd. in Baldwin; and the St. Mary Agency Office headquarters, on Barrow Street in Franklin.
