Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 380,255. That’s 1,937 more cases since yesterday. 334,769 are confirmed; 45,486 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 41 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,483 deaths. 7,964 are confirmed; 519 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/18/21 is 320,025, which is 21,411 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,700 cases. There are 6,166 confirmed and 1,534 probable. That’s 29 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 172 deaths; 163 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 7-Jan. 13 is 9.80%, down 17.65% from the week prior, which was 11.90%. Incidence is 390.36.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 7,927 cases. There are 6,611 confirmed and 1,316 probable. That’s 51 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 166 deaths; 155 are confirmed and 11 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.7-Jan. 13 is 11.70%, down 18.18% from the week prior, which was 14.30%. Incidence is 401.73.

 

Statewide, there are 1,747 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 216 are on ventilators. That’s 53 less patients since yesterday, and 17 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 5,047,987, which is 29,077 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,730,466 molecular tests and 317,521 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 91,701 tests in Lafourche (82,293 molecular and 9,408 antigen) and 89,857 tests in Terrebonne (83,067 molecular and 6,790 antigen). That’s 391 more tests in Lafourche and 393 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
