Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 261,329. That’s 2,542 more cases since yesterday. 243,435 are confirmed; 17,894 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 40 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,724 deaths. 6,426 are confirmed; 298 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 12/7/20 is 217,930, which is 15,039 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,277 cases. There are 4,728 confirmed and 549 probable. That’s 33 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 148 deaths; 142 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 8.60%, up 7.50% from the week prior, which was 8.00%.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 4,966 cases. There are 4,644 confirmed and 322 probable. That’s 37 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 141 deaths; 136 are confirmed and 5 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 26-Dec. 2 is 7.40%, down 5.10% from the week prior, which was 7.80%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.

 

Statewide, there are 1,529 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 180 are on ventilators. That’s 8 less patients since yesterday, and 3 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 3,829,577, which is 27,594 more tests than yesterday. There are 3,686,971 molecular tests and 142,606 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 69,554 tests in Lafourche (65,780 molecular and 3,774 antigen) and 66,947 tests in Terrebonne (64,578 molecular and 2,369 antigen). That’s 479 more tests in Lafourche and 546 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
