Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 397,276. That’s 2,369 more cases since yesterday. 346,994 are confirmed; 50,282 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 58 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,801 deaths. 8,241 are confirmed; 560 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/25/21 is 344,321, which is 24,296 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 8,218 cases. There are 6,459 confirmed and 1,759 probable. That’s 98 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 179 deaths; 169 are confirmed and 10 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 14-Jan. 20 is 9.90%, up 2.06% from the week prior, which was 9.70%. Incidence is 449.47.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 8,563 cases. There are 6,991 confirmed and 1,572 probable. That’s 95 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 183 deaths; 170 are confirmed and 13 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.14-Jan. 20 is 10.40%, down 11.11% from the week prior, which was 11.70%. Incidence is 420.64.

 

Statewide, there are 1,546 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 198 are on ventilators. That’s 44 less patients since yesterday, and 8 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 5,266,936, which is 30,774 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,913,770 molecular tests and 353,166 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 96,664 tests in Lafourche (85,769 molecular and 10,895 antigen) and 94,927 tests in Terrebonne (87,092 molecular and 7,835 antigen). That’s 718 more tests in Lafourche and 564 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
