State total sees over 3,000 new cases; Lafourche surpasses 5,000 total cases

Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 247,177. That’s 3,102 more cases since yesterday. 232,479 are confirmed; 14,698 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 24 new deaths, bringing the total to 6,548 deaths. 6,274 are confirmed; 274 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 11/30/20 is 202,891, which is 10,403 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,001 cases. There are 4,534 confirmed and 467 probable. That’s 67 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 142 deaths; 137 are confirmed and 5 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 19-25 is 7.90%, up 38.6% from the week prior, which was 5.70%.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 4,743 cases. There are 4,476 confirmed and 267 probable. That’s 58 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 139 deaths; 134 are confirmed and 5 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Nov. 19-25 is 7.90%, up 54.9% from the week prior, which was 5.20%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.

 

Statewide, there are 1,357 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 154 are on ventilators. That’s 32 more patients since yesterday, and 12 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 3,672,682, which is 27,676 more tests than yesterday. There are 3,551,836 molecular tests and 120,846 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 66,620 tests in Lafourche (63,350 molecular and 3,270 antigen) and 63,882 tests in Terrebonne (61,849 molecular and 2,033 antigen). That’s 622 more tests in Lafourche and 534 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
