The Louisiana Department of Health on Saturday is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 585. That’s 48 new cases today.

 

Terrebonne Parish is now reporting 8 cases. Lafourche Parish is still reporting 5.

 

Louisiana has two additional deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the total to 16. The deaths of a 77-year-old Orleans Parish resident and a 53-year-old Orleans Parish resident were reported today.


 

1,230 tests have been completed by the state lab. 1,535 tests have been reported to the state by commercial labs.

 

29 of 64 parishes are reporting cases. The breakdown by parish is as follows: Orleans Parish is now reporting 352 cases, 12 deaths; Jefferson, 116 cases, 2 deaths; Catahoula, 1 case, 1 death; St. James, 1 case, 1 death; St. Tammany, 14; Caddo, 13; East Baton Rouge, 8; St. Charles, 7; St. John the Baptist, 7; Lafayette, 6; St. Bernard, 6; Bossier, 5; Calcasieu, 4; Ascension, 3;  Rapids, 3; West Baton Rouge, 3; St. Landry, 2; Washington, 2; DeSoto, 2; Iberia, 2; St. James, 1; Acadia, 1; Assumption, 1; Evangeline, 1; Iberville, 1; Livingston, 1; Plaquemines, 1; Webster, 1; Tangipahoa, 1;  Parish under investigation, 8.
