The Terrebonne Foundation for Academic Excellence (TFAE) is hosting a grant writing workshop tomorrow that’s free and open to all Terrebonne Parish School District teachers, faculty and administrators.

The event will take place from 1-3 p.m. at West Park Special Education and Federal Center (7573 Park Avenue, Houma).

Attendees at the event will learn grant writing tips, best practices and will also get information on available grants they can potentially secure in the future.

A release issued by TFAE says that the event will be a good time to work on grant ideas and generate feedback, as well.

In addition to the grant writing workshop, TFAE will also host a Girls Who Code Information Session tomorrow from 3-4:30 p.m. at the same facility.

That session is also free and open to ALL public and private school teachers, faculty, administrators and parent volunteers.

Girls Who Code offers free after-school programs for 3rd-5th and 6th-12th-grade girls to join the sisterhood of supportive peers and role models using computer science to help change the world.

This session aims to teach those interested about the program and give information about what is needed to start a club at a school.
