Lane Crochet

“Hello, my name is Lane Crochet. I am seventeen years old and live in Houma, Louisiana. I am currently in the 12th grade at Allen J. Ellender Memorial High School. My favorite subjects include but are not limited to: Social Studies, English, Health, P.E. and Culinary Occupation. When I get home from school I usually watch football, play video games, write short stories and read books. I collect Funko POP! Vinyl Figurines, and I love babysitting my little cousin. When I was eight I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. I live with my grandparents and my sister and I have two brothers who live with my mother. When I was in the 9th grade I won an award for highest G.P.A in Speech 1. I’ve won multiple most improved awards during my time at Grand Caillou Middle and I have already been accepted to multiple colleges. When I can, I will help my teachers with afterschool activities, and whatever else they may need. In the summer I go to a diabetic summer camp. There I help serve the younger kids and become a leader for the younger cabins. My goals in life include: getting married, starting a family, graduating college, play football for my college and becoming successful in whatever I do in the future.”
