The GorJess Little Free Library Spreads Love for Literature in Downtown Thibodaux

Hello GorJess is a local blog and social media community that provides an uplifting space for all women to feel heard, seen, and motivated. Recently, blogger and writer Jessica Rebstock excitedly announced her next project of bringing a little free library to Downtown Thibodaux which has officially been finished!

The cute little pink library can be found on West 3rd Street in Downtown Thibodaux across from Fremin’s and next to the Takerz Boxing Gym. Rebstock had a beautiful vision and it has come to fruition thanks to a supportive community, family, and her father who built the library making her dream a reality.

In the announcement, she said, “A labor of love (for my dad) and a dream for me! I couldn’t be more thankful for the many, many hours he has put into building this little dream I thought up one night! When I tell you he brought my vision to life, he truly outdid himself! Pictures absolutely do it no justice!! I love you, Dad and thank you SO SO MUCH!!

Rebstock has always loved reading and it’s always been a huge part of her life growing up into adulthood. She has also published her own children’s book, “Sophies Saturday Adventure” which was written and illustrated by the local writer. The book was inspired by her own childhood memories and adventures that were originally done as a project in college.
