Thibodaux Regional Health System celebrated the completion of the new $40 million state-of-the-art Cancer Institute with a grand opening event.

The Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center is the region’s first freestanding cancer center that provides care for 95 percent of types of cancer. The center will offer services including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, and hormonal therapy. The new stunning building offers five floors of amenities to create the best patient experiences. The building also has a chapel and activity/learning room to help with the holistic and spiritual side of healing.

The Cancer Institute has accents and special pieces such as a handmade alter in the chapel from a local craftsman, limestone lilies with a scripture that has special meaning, and a bright, modern, open layout that provides a clean bright atmosphere. View some photos from the new facility below!
