Thibodaux Regional Health System has expanded it’s partnerships to Franklin Foundation Hospital. The hospitals have announced a new strategic partnership yesterday that will bring new shared services to St. Mary Parish residents.

The partnership brings three new specialties to the area: neurology, medical oncology, and pain management. Greg Stock, CEO of Thibodaux Regional, said “it’s a privilege to associate with Franklin Foundation. We’re not here to manage the hospital, we’re not here to own the hospital, none of those things. Just to work together, share resources, learn from each other, and go forward serving the people in this area and the entire region.”

The contract goes into effect on November 29 and each physician will provide services one day a week at the hospital. “Thibodaux Regional will be a great partner in providing all of these service specialties. These are just our first three and there are plans for up to four or five other specials coming next year,” said Stephanie Guidry, CEO of Franklin Foundation Hospital. Thibodaux Regional has grown significantly over the past few years and continues to expand in partnerships to further its healthcare reach.

Key elements of the partnership include:

  • Access to Physician Specialty Services: Patients can receive the care they need closer to home, including rheumatology, neurology, and specialized stroke care, oncology, interventional pain management, and more.
  • Clinical Quality Care Improvement: Collaborate to address opportunities for improvement related to the Triple Aim: Quality, Cost, and Patient Experience.
  • Sports Medicine Services: Assist in enhancement and expansion of athletic training services in St. Mary Parish high schools and provide safety-related education and training to coaches.
