What’s Halloween without a little trick-or-treating? This year, with many of our neighborhoods still full of debris, several local businesses and churches are hosting Trunk-or-Treat events where little ones can still dress-up and go trunk to trunk to collect candies and memories.

October 28

St. Bernadette Church: The 3rd annual Trunk or Treat party provides children an exciting and safe night of fun! There will be trunk or treating in the Church parking lot (corner of Kenny and D St.), hot dogs and chili Fritos, and contests for Best Decorated Trunk, Best Carved Pumpkin, Best Halloween Costume and Best Holy Saint Costume. The event is held from 6-7:30 p.m. While the event is free, you are encouraged to bring canned goods to support the local food bank.

October 29

Trick or Treat at the Plaza: Join the Chateau Plaza Community (500 Corporate Drive, Houma) for a treat or treat celebration from 6-8 p.m. Children may go from business to business to gather candy and goodies. Please remember to drive slowly in the parking lots and watch for little ghosts and witches.

October 30

Krewe of Cleopatra: Trick-or-treating for children ages 12 and under at the Courthouse Square in Houma from 5:30-8 p.m.

Evergreen Cajun Center: Enjoy a drive-thru trick or treat event (4694 West Main Street) hosted by the Evergreen Lions Club from 4-6 p.m. There will be free hot dogs and candy.

October 31

Our Lady of the Rosary Church: The Larose community is invited to join Our Lady of the Rosary Church (12911 E. Main Street, Larose) from 6-8 p.m. for a fun and safe evening with treats, free hot dogs and chili and a sweet sale! There will also be a contest for the best decorated trunk!
