Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 372,089. That’s 2,126 more cases since yesterday. 328,860 are confirmed; 43,229 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 71 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,324 deaths. 7,833 are confirmed; 491 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/11/21 is 298,614, which is 18,241 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,480 cases. There are 6,058 confirmed and 1,422 probable. That’s 64 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 170 deaths; 161 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6 is 11.80%, up 9.26% from the week prior, which was 10.80%. Incidence is 540.18.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 7,638 cases. There are 6,447 confirmed and 1,191 probable. That’s 22 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 163 deaths; 154 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 31-Jan. 6 is 14.30%, down 10.63% from the week prior, which was 16.00%. Incidence is 528.73.

 

Statewide, there are 1,905 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 249 are on ventilators. That’s 11 more patients since yesterday, and 10 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 4,930,816, which is 27,536 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,630,718 molecular tests and 300,098 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 89,700 tests in Lafourche (81,028 molecular and 8,672 antigen) and 87,407 tests in Terrebonne (81,263 molecular and 6,144 antigen). That’s 557 more tests in Lafourche and 56 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
