The Louisiana Department of Health has reported the number of cases has risen to 479. That’s 87 new cases since yesterday’s update.


 

The state is reporting no new deaths overnight, with the total remaining at 10.

 

Terrebonne is reporting 5 cases. Lafourche is reporting 5 cases.

 

Orleans Parish is now reporting 299 cases; Jefferson, 90; St. Tammany, 10; Caddo, 13; East Baton Rouge, 7; St. Charles, 5; St. Bernard, 5; Lafayette, 7; Ascension, 2; Bossier, 4; St. John the Baptist, 4; St. Landry, 2; St. James, 1; Washington, 2; Acadia, 1; Assumption, 1; Calcasieu,3; Iberia, 1; Iberville, 1; Livingston, 1; Plaquemines, 1; Rapids, 1; Webster, 1; East Baton Rouge Parish, 1; West Baton Rouge, 2; Parish under investigation, 6.


 

Cases reported include positive COVID-19 tests results from both the LDH Office of Public Health Laboratory and commercial labs. The CDC no longer requires that positive test results be confirmed.

 

1,047 tests have been completed. Tests reported here are completed by the LDH Office of Public Health Laboratory, and does not include commercial testing.
