From the Houma Fire Department:
At approximately 6:40pm Houma Fire was dispatched to 9100 block of East Main St. on the east side of Houma for a vehicle crash with one vehicle crashing into a building.
Upon arrival crews found a 2 vehicle crash where 1 vehicle had been rear ended by another. The vehicle that was rear ended was in the process of turning into a parking lot of a local wing shop when the crash occoured. After being hit, the vehicle was propelled forward and into an entrance of the restaurant. The driver was able to bring the vehicle to a stop only after fully entering into the structure.
None of the occupants of either vehicle or anyone inside of the building complained of injury. Fire crews remained on-scene until a wrecker truck was able to safely remove the automobile from the building.
We ask that all drivers remain vigilant while operating your motor vehicles. Please use blinkers when turning to signal other motorist of your intentions. Please drive safely this holiday season.
