The Women’s Club of Thibodaux will gather at Nicholls State University today celebrating a century of service to the community. Today’s program is designed to showcase the club’s history and projects over the last 100 years. The community is invited to view memorabilia on display and witness the efforts of this extraordinary group of women.

In an effort to enrich the city of Thibodaux, the organization was founded in 1922 by Mrs. Charles Shaver along with 14 other women. One hundred years later, the organization is 30 members strong and membership remains invitation only.
