Aaron Michael Acosta, 31, a native of Houma and resident of Des Allemands, gained his angels wings on Saturday December 8,2018 at 10:40 P.M.

Aaron is survived by his loving Mother Jill Acosta Schieffler and Dad Will Schieffler; Sisters Katherine, Kristen and Karoline Schieffler; Maternal Grandfather Marvin Acosta, Grandmother Evelena Schieffler Bourgeois; Paternal Grandparents Freddie and Mary Ducote Gautreaux; Godparents Corey Acosta and April Acosta Schieffler; Several aunts, uncles and cousins and Furbaby Ganja Rex Acosta

Aaron was a very caring and concerned individual that never met a stranger who was deeply loved by all who knew him and his zest for life inspired many. Although Ataxia took its toll, he faced it bravely head-on retaining his sense of humor and dignity. He loved fishing, hunting, music, good Cajun food and sunbathing. He was happy most when in the company of family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the following Doctors and their loving staff; Dr. Christopher Paris, Dr. David Vargas, Dr. Sudha Mardia and Dr. Jennifer Greco , along with his wonderful caregivers, present and past.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Friederich’s Ataxia Research Alliance preferred.
