Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Advanesser Billizone Adams, 93, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.
Mrs. Adams was a member of Residence Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. A homemaker, she was also a member of the Union Benevolent, Golden Social aid Club, Gardenia Stitch and Snip and The Friendly 13.
She is survived by daughters, Dolores and Norma Adams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Adams Jr.; parents, Nathan and Mary Payne Billizone; brother, Collins Billizone; and grandparents, Richard and Catherine Parker Payne.
She is buried at the Union Benevolent Cemetery.
Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
