Agnes Picou Billiot Duplantis, 80, a native of Chauvin, La. and resident of Houma, La., died at 6:40 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2007.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.


She is survived by her husband, Howard Duplantis of Houma; one daughter, Mable P. Fitch and husband, William Sr., of Houma; three grandchildren, William R. “Dee” Fitch Jr. and wife, Cathy, Anitra Lirette and husband, Desaire, and Erik Fitch and wife, Reagan; 12 great-grandchildren, Mitchel, Dylan, Breanna, Tyler, Devin, Brandon, Kayleigh, Logan, Kierstyn, Tasia, Kami and William “D.J.” Fitch III; and two godchildren, Juanita McGuire and Madeline Parfait.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Morris Billiot; her parents, Emile John Picou and Ella Cotton Picou; and four sisters, Hilda P. Gregoire, Enolia P. Gregoire, Emelda P. Billiot and Zenola P. Gregoire.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
