Al Rudy Trosclair, 74, a native and resident of Larose, La., died at 11:05 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009.


Mr. Trosclair was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, where he also served as an usher. He was a member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society and the Upper Larose Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed sports, gardening, dancing, traveling and volunteer work.

He is survived by his wife, June Lapeyrouse Trosclair; sons, Reginald (Tina), Joachim (Melissa), Jamie (Sandra) and Regan (Wendy) Trosclair; daughter, Rosemary T. Chauvin; sisters, Becky Musso, Connie Sevenker and Sandra Sampey; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Loles and Leah Melancon Trosclair; sons, Brian David Trosclair; and brother, Russell Trosclair.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the church.

He will be buried at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
