Albert Milton “Man” Besson Jr., 91, a native of Franklin, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died Tuesday, May 13, 2014. 


Mr. Besson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Asian Pacific Medal and American Campaign Medal. He worked for Texaco as a welder and compressor operator until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 272. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Vesta Besson; children, Sondras Saucier, Steve Besson and Vanessa Naquin; siblings, Joyce (Pete) Simoneaux, Shirley Wheats and Dorothy Dover; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr. and Linda Besson; and one grandchild.


Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
