Albert “Pill” Daniels Sr., 92, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, April 12, at 11 p.m.


He is survived by his sons, Rev. Herman Daniels and wife Beverly, Ronald Daniels and wife Terry, and Albert Daniels Jr., all of Thibodaux, Alvin Daniels of Hazelhurst, Ms., and Donald Daniels and wife Arlene of Donaldsonville, La.; daughters, Rose Boyd, Linda Coleman and husband Clarence and Anna Coler, all of Thibodaux, and Helen Austin of Sweeney, Tx.; 36 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Daniels; parents, Norris and Ella Daniels; daughters, Marion McBride and Lillie Woods; and brothers, Foster Green, Lawrence Green Sr. and Louis Daniels.

He was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church and served as the Senior Deacon. His hobbies included singing and walking.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Labadieville, La., with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Young Men=s Benevolent Cemetery at Lafourche Crossing, La.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
