Albert “But” Joseph Robichaux, 81, a native and resident of Raceland, LA., died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007.


Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Josephine Daigle Robichaux of Raceland; three sons, Alvin Robichaux Sr. of Raceland, Allen Robichaux and wife, Kathy, of Lockport and Terry A. Robichaux of Raceland; three daughters, Wanda R. Lirette and husband, Mark, of Raceland, Ramona Robichaux and fiance’, Jerry Bourgeois Jr., and Marie R. Foshee and husband, Harry, of Houma; two brothers, Warren Robichaux of Chauvin and Clement Robichaux of Raceland; two sisters, Janelle R. Theriot of Raceland and Gayle R. Naquin of Thibodaux; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merille Robichaux Sr. and Elmire Danos Robichaux; one daughter, Tammy Robichaux; one brother, Merille Robichaux Jr.; and one sister, Verna R. Vedros.

He was a retired rigger and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church.
