Alfred P. Gaudet Jr., 90, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of New Orleans, La., died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.
He is survived by his children, Alfred and Kathleen Gaudet, Beryl and Wayne Toups, and Dean P. Gaudet; one grandchild, Kim M. Toups; 10 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice LaGraize Gaudet; his parents, Alfred P. Gaudet Sr. and Emilienne LaGarde Gaudet; one sister, Wilma Henry; and brother-in-law, Percy LaGraize.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 222 in Marrero. He was also a member of Woodmen of the World No. 623 in Marrero. He was retired from the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court’s Office.
Interment was at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Mothe Funeral Home of Marrero is in charge of arrangements.
