Alice Sellers Guarisco, 61, of Morgan City, La., accepted the Lord’s invitation home Saturday, Aug. 22, at 9:43am.
She passed away at her home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, John J. Guarisco Jr.; two sons, Stephen M. Guarisco and wife Alicia F. Guarisco of Morgan City, and Mark J. Guarisco and wife Laura N. Guarisco of Daphne, Ala.; five grandchildren, Kasie L. Guarisco of Lafayette, La., Madeline and Caleb Fendley of Morgan City, Sawyer and Calleigh Guarisco of Daphne; mother, Alice G. Sellers of Morgan City; one brother, Kenneth W. Sellers and family of Gretna, La.; and one sister, Karen G. Guillot and family of Bayou Vista, La.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude W. “Tobe” Sellers; and one nephew, Kelin R. Guillot.
Alice lived life to the fullest at every opportunity and shared her experiences with family and friends. She enjoyed being active with all activities surrounding her children and grandchildren. Most of all, bowling was her favorite sport, participating in the Thursday Morning League in Morgan City and traveling to countless tournaments around the country with friends. But if you would ask her, the sun rose and set in the lives of her grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, and 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Twin City Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial at Morgan City Cemetery.
Twin City Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
