Aline Dufrene Gautreaux, 98, a native of Gheens, La., and a resident of Lockport, La., died Monday, September 3, 2007, at 3:05 a.m.


She is survived by her four sons, Hubert Gautreaux and his wife Dorothy, Eugene Gautreaux and his wife Anna, Richard Gautreaux and his Lois, and Robert Gautreaux and his wife Carol; one daughter, Marie Eschette; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Gautreaux; her parents, Alfred and Marie Hartman Dufrene; one son-in-law, Ernest Eschette, Sr.; three brothers, Johnny, Wilfred, and Abel Dufrene; two sisters, Catherine Dominique and Carrie LeBlanc; and three grandchildren.

Aline was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Savoir Catholic Church in Lockport. She was a member of the Ladies Alter Society.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 4, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport and Wednesday, September 5, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Savoir Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of the arrangements.
