October 6, 2011Allen Anthony Blanchard, 80, a native of Berwick, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011.
Mr. Blanchard was a member of the American Legion and AARP. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ouida Blanchard; daughter, Donna (Lanny) Ross; sister, Evelyn Willis; and granddaughter, Fallon (Matthew) Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Audrey Blanchard; brothers, Bernie, Dale and Rickey Blanchard; and sisters, Mary Gros, Shirley Naquin and Dolly McAdams.
Burial with military honors was provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
